As an occupational therapist Natalie believes that quality of life is created through meaningful engagement in the activities that make up our days. She feels that the current health care system has some amazing strengths and that it can only be strengthened by the use of complementary practices – such as yoga – that have existed for thousands of years.
Natalie was first introduced to yoga during her training as a dancer. Several years later in 2004, after being diagnosed with a genetic heart condition she fell in love with it. She trusts in the healing potential of this practice as it has been vital in both re-creating her own health and her work as an occupational therapist.
Natalie feels passionately that we are here for each other and her reverence for human biology (and its magic!) guides her to work and practice with kindness in order to restore strength and integrity to the body, mind and spirit. She believes there are therapeutic secrets hidden in all aspects Yoga.
Originally attracted to Yoga as a replacement for her main form of physical exercise, dance. The practice immediately began transforming her from a place of confusion, delusion and fear to a place of calm, clarity, and true love for herself and life. After completing her first Yoga teacher training in India in 2009, she began studying, working, and living with a teacher in Hawaii, where she also immersed herself in the study and practice of Ayurveda.
For over a decade she has conducted, supported, and taught at innumerable trainings including Yoga teacher trainings, Ayurvedic Chef trainings, and Ayurvedic treatment trainings in Hawaii, India, and New Zealand. She has mentored many students through their professional Ayurveda studies and provided ongoing mentorship for counsellors, teachers and practitioners and is head of the Ayurveda faculty of Bindu Institute for Learning, a Spain based multi-modality school.
Kelsey is a yogini whose extensive training and dedication to her practice and ongoing studies continue to expand the intuitive insight she shares. She is a perpetual student of life, and her authenticity, openness, understanding, enthusiasm and love of Ayurveda, Yoga and natural healing has inspired many to start, continue or deepen their paths to health, vitality, and living their inner truth.
